Steer Davies Gleave named Transport Consultant of the Year at the London Transport Awards 2017

Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to have been awarded Transport Consultant of the Year at the London Transport Awards 2017.

The London Transport awards, presented by Transport Times, is a prestigious event recognising excellence in the transport industry and rewarding innovation and progress for transport initiatives across London. This year’s event, on the 2nd March at the Riverbank Plaza Hotel in London, saw Steer Davies Gleave honoured in front of an audience of over 500 guests across the transport industry for the quality of our portfolio of projects in London.

SDG win an award for their active modes plan for Pikes Peak, Colorado

Steer Davies Gleave was delighted to receive an award for sustainability and environmental planning from APA Colorado for our recent work in developing an active modes plan for the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG). The Plan was also praised by APA Colorado for its quality and completeness.

Quantifying Sustainability – public transit

In the 21st century there is a need and desire to provide sustainable transportation systems in cities to ensure that they remain vibrant centers of high quality of life and economic development.

While developing sustainability-oriented vision and strategy is becoming more commonplace, clear measurement of the concept of sustainability in planning, development, and operations is often vague or missing. However, a new set of tools that synthesize innovative research and interdisciplinary problem-solving are set to address this challenge.

SDG leading study on transit improvements on Denver’s East Colfax corridor

Steer Davies Gleave has been selected to develop new mobility solutions for the East Colfax corridor near downtown Denver. The Colfax Corridor Connections project is an Alternatives Analysis and Environmental Assessment that will examine mobility solutions along a ten-mile corridor which is expected to have a 20-30 per cent increase in transportation/mobility demand in the next 15 years. 

Guidelines will help to deliver Edmonton’s transportation goals

Steer Davie Gleave has been retained by the City of Edmonton to update the City’s Level of Service guidelines and develop Transportation Impact Assessment guidelines. These guidelines will help to deliver the City’s goals, which include transportation mode shift, sustainability, and transportation and land use integration.
